Win 1 ETH — Contest Rules
Last updated: July 10, 2026
Rare Aardvarks is running two independent prize contests. Each awards 1 ETH (Ethereum) to a single winner. You can enter both — and yes, one player could win both. Contest entry is automatic: playing the game and using your in-app referral code is all it takes. The full terms below apply.
Contest 1 — The Collection Race
The first player to collect all 258 cards — all 200 aardvarks, all 50 ecosystem engineers, and all 8 resource cards — wins 1 ETH.
- What counts: owning at least one copy of every one of the 258 unique cards at the same time, on a single account. Duplicates don't matter.
- How it's decided: your card collection is stored server-side. The first account whose server collection records all 258 unique cards wins. Our servers write a one-time, permanent completion record with an authoritative server timestamp the moment an account first holds the full set, and that timestamp breaks any tie. Cards removed by a refund don't count, so the winner must still hold all 258 (without refunded cards) when the prize is finalized.
- How to get cards: match rewards, free rewarded-ad cards, referral packs, booster packs, and player-to-player trades. By design, some cards appear only in paid booster packs — completing the set will take opening packs and/or trading with other players who have.
- When it starts: the race is live from the app's official public launch and runs until someone completes the set.
Contest 2 — The Referral Championship
The player who refers the most qualifying new players between the app's official public launch and December 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time) wins 1 ETH.
- How to refer: share the referral code found in the app under Invite Friends. Your friend enters it in their app after signing up.
- A referral qualifies for the contest when the referred player has done ALL of the
following before the deadline:
- created a new account and entered your referral code;
- completed at least one online match against another player (verified on our servers); and
- made at least one in-app purchase — any booster pack (Basic, Elite, or Legendary) or Remove Ads — that has not been refunded.
- Note on “match played”: only a genuine online (player-vs-player) match counts — our servers verify it was actually played. Practice matches against the computer and single-player games do not qualify a referral. This applies to both the in-app referral rewards (free booster packs) and the 1 ETH contest; the contest additionally requires the un-refunded purchase above. Contest standings are counted from the same server-side referral records.
- How it's decided: the account with the highest number of qualifying referrals at the deadline wins. If two accounts tie, the one that reached that count first (by server timestamp) wins. The live panel on this page shows a preview of the current top 5 (refreshed every ~8 hours); the winner is determined from the final server-side audit of qualifying, un-refunded referrals — see “How winners are finalized” below.
The Prize
- Each contest awards 1 ETH, transferred to a compatible Ethereum wallet address provided by the winner. The market value of ETH fluctuates; the prize is 1 ETH itself, not a fixed cash amount.
- If the winner cannot lawfully receive cryptocurrency in their jurisdiction, or does not provide a wallet within 30 days of being contacted, we may substitute a prize of equivalent value (measured at the date of award) or select the next eligible player.
- Taxes on the prize are the winner's responsibility. Winners may be required to complete tax or identity documentation before the prize is released.
Eligibility & Fair Play
- Open to players who are 18 or older (or the age of majority where they live). Void where prohibited by law.
- One account per person. Referring yourself, creating or using duplicate/automated accounts, buying referrals, or any other manipulation disqualifies all involved accounts — the game's server-side abuse detection is used to enforce this, and flagged accounts are ineligible.
- Employees and contractors of anthology group, and their immediate families, are not eligible.
- Purchases refunded or clawed back don't count toward referral qualification, and cards removed by a refund clawback don't count toward collection completion.
- Winners will be contacted through their game account and announced (username only) on this site and the in-game leaderboard.
How winners are finalized
- The standings shown on this page are a live preview, not the final result. They're rebuilt from server-side counters every few hours and can shift as purchases are refunded, accounts are flagged for abuse, or late qualifications land.
- Each winner is determined by a final server-side audit that recomputes qualification from the underlying purchase and match records — excluding refunded purchases, clawed-back cards, and flagged or duplicate accounts — after the deadline (Referral Championship) or when a completion is claimed (Collection Race).
- Where the final audit and the live preview disagree, the final audit governs.
The Fine Print
- These contests are sponsored solely by anthology group. Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in, either contest in any way.
- We may suspend, modify, or end a contest if fraud, technical failure, or legal requirements make it impossible to run fairly; if that happens before a winner is determined, we'll announce it here.
- Decisions on qualification, disqualification, and winners are made from the game's server records and are final.
- No purchase is required to play Rare Aardvarks or to use referral codes. Completing the card set and contest-qualifying a referral do involve in-app purchases, as described above — that's part of these contests' skill-and-effort design.

Summary: first to all 258 cards wins 1 ETH; most qualifying referrals by Dec 31, 2026 wins 1 ETH. A qualifying referral = new player + your code + one verified online match + one un-refunded purchase. Standings on this page are a preview; a final server-side audit decides winners. Terms above apply.
